The Preparatory Committee for the Establishment of the Sanriku Branch of the Iwate Prefecture E-Sports Union (Margot Rikuzentakata, Tohoku, SAVE TAKATA) was scheduled to be held in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture on March 28. In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to postpone the "Tohoku e-Sports Festival 2020 Supring" in consideration of the safety of everyone involved, including visitors.

　The event is scheduled to be held again this summer, but the schedule and other details will be determined according to the spread of the new coronavirus infection and will be announced later.

Regarding the postponement, planning and production Tohoku said, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the event, to all the guests who were planning to participate, and to everyone who has been involved in the preparations for the tournament so far. We have made this decision in order to prevent the spread of infection. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation."
