Dropboxは、Appleシリコンにネイティブ対応する計画はないとコメントしたとして波紋を呼んでいましたが、10月末にDropbox創業者で最高経営責任者（CEO）のドリュー・ハウストン氏が、2022年前半に実現する、と具体的なタイムラインを提示しました。 今回、Dropboxが米メディアMacRumorsに述べたところによると、同社はAppleシリコンをネイティブサポートしたバージョンを小規模のユーザーベースでテストを行っており、1月末までにDropboxのMacアプリのベータ版を実行するすべてのユーザーが利用可能になるとのことです。
