TeamLab's solo exhibition will be held at the Kumu Museum in Tallinn, Estonia. Opened at the end of 2022 | Team Lab Press Release

A solo exhibition of the art group TeamLab will be held at the Kumu Museum in Tallinn, Estonia at the end of 2022. In this exhibition entitled "teamLab: Impermanent Flowers Floating in a Continuous Sea", a group of works of flowers that grow while repeating birth and death are exhibited in one continuous sea where everything is connected. In a space where you can immerse yourself in your body, you will seek an unbounded relationship between yourself and the world. The Kumu Museum is one of the largest museums in Estonia and opened in 2006 in Kadriorg Park. A representative museum in Estonia with a huge collection of Estonian art since the 18th century, it won the European Museum of the Year Award (EMF) in 2008. Work: https://www.teamlab.art/jp/w/blackwaves_immersive_mass/ Video: https://youtu.be/4zG12LpFRsc * Reference video The sea is connected to all the seas, and all the waves in this world , Are connected. The work has no beginning or end and is made up of one continuous wave that is all connected. People confront the mass of waves, and eventually they are drawn in and everything is connected. Notice that the outside of the lump, recognized as a lump, is also the inside. The outside and the inside may be unique, that is, one without conflict. Waves are constructed by simulating the movement of water in three dimensions in a space on a computer. Waves are represented by a continuum of innumerable particles of water, and the interactions between the particles are calculated. A line is drawn by the behavior of water particles, and a line is drawn on the surface layer of a three-dimensional wave. Then, the set of lines drawn three-dimensionally is flattened into a video work by the "super-subjective space" that TeamLab thinks. If it grows too much, it will scatter all at once and die. Also, when people touch the flowers, the flowers scatter and die. The work continues to be drawn in real time by a computer program. We are not playing back pre-recorded video. As a whole, the previous state is not duplicated and continues to change forever, influenced by people's behavior. The picture at this moment can never be seen again. Universe of Fire ParticlesteamLab, 2021, Digital Work, Single channel, Continuous Loop

Work: https://www.teamlab.art/jp/w/universe_fireparticles/ Video: https://youtu.be/QWCQA_YEe94 The flame changes its shape due to the absolute existence of black. Flame is a phenomenon of light and heat generated by burning, it is also a vaporized substance or a decomposed substance in the flow, and in our sensory experience when looking at the gap between the phenomenon and the substance. be. People perceive the flame, a sensory experience, as an object, and sometimes feel life there. A line was drawn on the space by the flow of the burning gas, a flame was created by the three-dimensional set of the lines, and it was flattened by the "super-subjective space" that TeamLab thinks, and the flame was drawn. TeamLab is exploring the concept of "Distributed Art." When you approach the flame of the work with the "teamLab: FIRE" app, the flame will ignite on your smartphone and you can take the work home. If you bring the flame you brought back close to another person's smartphone, the flame will be lit in the same way. By connecting the flame to someone and connecting it to someone else, the flame spreads all over the world. The entire spreading flame group is drawn on the flame map. In Distributed Art, some works duplicate themselves, and some divide some of them into people. The works that are in the hands of people also generate their own reproductions, and people actively disperse. The works will be distributed on people's networks and become decentralized art. When the work exists on the network, it continues to exist even if the original disappears. I am seeking to cross the boundaries of that cognition, the boundaries between myself and the world, and the boundaries of cognition for the continuity of time. Everything is almost miraculously present on a long, long, unbounded continuity.
