Kawasaki City, Real -time flooding prediction, notification of the demonstration experiment of tsunami evacuation using AI, the height of the reach and the height of the flooding

Kawasaki City will conduct a demonstration experiment to evacuate from the tsunami by utilizing the real -time inundation prediction by AI, during the Kawasaki Ward General Disaster Prevention Training on March 12, 2022.In the experiment, the participants are notified of the tsunami reach and the height of the flooding through a dedicated smartphone app.Furthermore, using the message transmission function of the smartphone application, the function of calling for evacuation to those who are delayed by participants will be examined.The flood prediction AI was built based on the tsunami simulation by the supercomputer "Futake".The experiment will be conducted jointly by the International Research Institute of the Tohoku University Disaster Science, the University of Tokyo Earthquake Research Institute, Fujitsu, and Kawasaki City.
