[Excel] I want to apply the background color of the cell and the color of the font to other cells!Three ways to copy only the format in Excel

How to use Excel that can't be heard anymore

I want to copy only the format set in the cell!

When creating a table with Excel, you often use the same format, such as ruled lines and cell background colors. It is troublesome to set a format every time you make a table. In such a case, it is smooth to copy only the format other than the text.

There are several ways to copy only the format in Excel, but this time we will introduce three methods. Please use it in an easy -to -use way.

First, let's copy and paste only the format using the [Copy/Paste] button on the ribbon. As an example, I will copy the format set in the cell B2 in the business performance table and paste it throughout the second line. With cell B2 (①) selected, click [Home] tab (②) (③) (③).

Then, the shape of the mouse pointer changes, and the mark of the brush (④) appears (④).

I want to set the same format on the entire second line, so I drag it to the right to cell f2 (⑤).

If you release the mouse, the format will change (⑥), and the mark in the brush will disappear.

The same format was set in the cell range B2: f2.

In the method set forth in the previous section, once you copy and paste it, it is over, but you can also paste the same form in a row in multiple places. It is an image that applies the same color to multiple parts with a brush.

Here, the format set in cell B7 will be paste in another cell in a row. With cell B7 (①) selected, double -click (③) of [Home] tab (②).

Then, the shape of the mouse pointer changes, and the mark of the brush appears (④).

Click the cell you want to paste the format (here cell C9) to paste the format (⑤).

Even after the format is pasteed in the cell C9, the mark of the brush will remain (⑥).While this mark is displayed, the format will be paste for the clicked cell.

Click the cell you want to paste the format, and after all, click [Copy/Paste the Format] (⑦) once.

The brush -shaped mark disappears, and the continuous operation ends.

Even if you do not use the [Copy/Paste of Format] button, you can copy and paste only the format if you select [Format] in [Paste Options] after copying and paste that you usually do.increase.

Let's consider an example of copying only the format of the Table of the Business Division Business Division and creating a new "Sales Director 2nd Division".First, drag the cell range (A2: f10), select (①), and press the [Ctrl] + [C] key to copy the table.

Select the location you want to copy (cell h2) (③), and press the [Ctrl] + [V] key to paste the (④) table.

The [Paste Options] button (⑤) is displayed on the right end of the pasted table.Click here to select [Format] (⑥) from the menu displayed.

Only the format of the copy source table was pasted (⑦).

Fill in the necessary information and complete the business performance table of the sales section (⑧).

This time, we introduced three methods to copy only the format set in the cell with Excel.

If you copy only the format, it is convenient because you can apply the same format with another cell or sheet without worrying about what format is set in the copying cell. Please use it by all means.
